100 -- The Alpha Course
Wednesday nights, 6:00 pm beginning February 7th
Facilitative by Pam VanNote

The Alpha coursed is used all over the world to help new believers and not-yet-believers learn more about the basics of the Christian faith.  With wit and clear terms Nicky Gumbel explains the most fundamental concepts of Christianity.  This is a DVD course that runs about 12 weeks.


200 -- Exploring II Samuel
Each Wednesday night, 6:45 pm in the Library
Facilitated by Carol Berchenbriter

For those who want to dig directly into the Word.  This Bible study looks at the Bible using the "Three Question" method -- What does it say?  What does it mean?  What should I do?  You'll learn not only about the book of II Samuel, but you'll also receive the tools to study the Bible for yourself.


100 -- Discovering Hillside
Sunday, March 4th (12:15-5:00 pm) in Ernst Hall

If you're interested in learning more about Hillside or the Wesleyan Denomination, this is the place for you.  If you wnat to become a member of Hillside, this class is required.  If you're curious about our church, our philosopy and where we're headed in the future, join us.


200 -- Exploring Your Life in Christ
Sundays 9:40 am during the summer
Taught by Pastor Kory and ABF leaders

What is a Christian?  How do you grow?  What are the disciplines needed to be citizens of the Kingdom of God?  This class is centered around growth in the Christian life.


200 -- Exploring Evangelism
Begins April 1st each Sunday 9:40 am
Taught by Pastor Randy

Does evangelism sound like a scary thing to you?  Well, it does to most Christians.  But why should it be intimidating?  It should be as natural as a walk across the room.  Pastor Randy will show in this class that evangelism doesn't mean giving a sales pitch for Jesus, but simply loving people as Jesus loved them.  Make sharing Christ a way of life.


200 - The Case for Christ
Sundays @ 9:40 am beginning April 15th (in the PIGS ABF)

Who was Jesus?  What did He really teach?  Can we trust the Bible?  How do we know that He is who He says He is?  Those are just some of the questions well be trying to answer in this series immediately following Easter.


300 -- Establishing Biblical Leadership
April 15-29th, Sunday nights 6-8 pm
Taught by Pastor Kory

Leadership has become a buzz-word in our society today and there are many ideas floating around about what it means to be a leader.  Well, leadership, according to Jesus is much different than what you'll find in the businesses and organizations of our society.  What does it mean to be a leader and a Christian in the world and in the church?  Well answer that question in this class.  This class is highly recommended for current leaders at Hillside.


100 -- Discovering the Bible
Sunday Nights at 6:00 pm May 6-27th

Many people, even many people who've been Christians for many years complain, "I don't know much about the Bible."  Well after this class there will be no more excuse.  We'll learn how we got the Bible, what it says and how to study it to get the most out of it.

300 -- Establishing a Servant's Heart (Board Retreat)
Fri-Sat, June 22nd-23rd
Taught by Pastors Randy and Kory

This retreat is for current and incoming board members. at this retreat we'll learn what it means to be the spiritual directors of the local church. We'll learn about the most important questions we must ask when determining the direction of the church, how to handle the inveitable conflict that will come about and many other things.
