So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33 I don’t think many of us worry about where the next pair of shoes will come from. What I wonder is why do you think God has poured so much abundance out on us, and yet left thousands in the world without even the most basic necessities? They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread |

I am getting ready for a garage sale. Some people do Spring Cleaning, but I am a firm advocate for the Fall Sweep Out. I think October is the perfect month to rid my life of the things that have accumulated in my house throughout the year. As I look at what I am considering selling, I notice that I live in the Land of Stuff. I suppose I should be the despot of my home, but clearly where my stuff is concerned, I am a servant. In so many countries where our missionaries serve, the amount of stuff in my house would supply a whole village. Pastor Luis Martinez in Guatemala asks teams to bring pairs of shoes with them because there are thousands of people living without shoes. |

and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Acts 2:42-45 Then Jesus said to them… “A man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” Luke 12:15 We are given much so that we can turn around and give to others. There will always be someone in the world that has less than you do. Someone whose needs can only be met by you. |

We believe that each and every thing that makes you unique can be used for the Lord. If you own a truck... Waypoint is looking for people to help move women and children out of the battered women’s shelter and into their new homes. This is on an as needed basis. If you have a heart for Africa... We have been presented with a great opportunity for us to help the children of Africa. Horizon International is adding a nurse to their staff that would care for the children in the orphanages in Zimbabwe. We need to raise $250 per month for this much needed position. Please contact Teresa at Teresa@jtdavidsonhomes.com or (319) 841-8061 if you would like to help. |
